There’s a real mix of influences in this one. There’s most of a Japanese-style chest harness used to anchor the wrists in a classic Japanese position, but the single-stranded helical arm wraps come straight from China. The natural-fibre rope suggests the East, but the pose and the smile are pure Western glamour.
