This is far from typical of my ropework, but I rather like some of the things we did that day.
The karada here is almost completely decorative and non-functional (cf ‘An example’), and although you can’t see it clearly here the front of it is made with the Japanese “ten” knot instead of the more usual overhand knots - that was a deliberate nod towards the shibari purists.
The bamboo pole is oriental, of course.
